Does anyone know where I can get a replica ophicleide mouthpiece, appropriate for my old Guichard C? Or where might I find one to copy? Or detailed measurements of one?

You might find this link from the University of Edinburgh of interest if you'd like to order descriptions and measurements of them. Ophicleide mouthpieces are listed part way down and you can order smaller sets of measurements as opposed to the entire portfolio.

Answered my own question.
Nick Byrn is selling a mouthpiece for ophicleide on his website, www.ophicleide.com. Have a look at his site if you've never been there. The guy's a MONSTER player!

I know that you are looking for a replica mouthpiece, but if you don't mind the looks of the piece, try Doug Elliott, he'll make you one!
Oops, just went to his website, looks like he's not back to making mouthpieces yet.....more to come _________________ J. Gabriel Stone |
