Several serpentists have recently worked on developing serpent gig bags, each taking a different approach.

Michel Godard has worked with Wetter and has come up with a very Euro-traditional gig bag, nice but expensive.

Keith Ryder has taken a crack at a design in collaboration with Altieri.

Paul Schmidt as developed a specification for a super-light-weight gig bag which would roll up into a small bundle inside a heavier hard shell case, and then be used for easier portability once at the destination. Altieri has produced a prototype and a few others have ordered copies.

Doug Yeo has commisioned Altieri to make a bag similar to Paul's, but with limited padding in select areas.

Reports are being solicited and hopefully there will be an article on the subject of Serpent Gig Bags in the next Serpent Newsletter.
